Wozu After School Coding Group October 2018

Roosevelt Elementary, along with the other schools in District 89, has been lucky enough to partner with Wozu Education to bring in an after school coding club! The students have just recently started and are getting to know their coding programs and mini robots. Our Kindergarten through 2nd graders started by working on connecting commands to get their character to move on the iPad with Daisy the Dinosaur and Cargobot. The 3rd through 5th grade group is working on using Ozobots which are controlled by markers. They are also using an app called Book Creator to develop a journal along their way which includes pictures of what they do each week along with a typed up description! We will be checking back in with these students in a few weeks to see just how much they have learned! Thank you Wozu Education for this amazing opportunity and for helping us to get our feet wet with learning all about coding!
