Pi Day 2018

D89 Math Coordinator, Scott Wold, delivers pie on Pi Day

Math teachers in District 89 celebrated Pi Day today, March 14 (Pi=3.14…) with activities meant to enrich and deepen students’ understanding of the concept of pi. Students made pi bracelets, learned about circumference and area of a circle, read about the history of pi as well as other Pi Day investigations. District Math Coordinator celebrated the day by bringing a slice of pie to each Math teacher at Irving Middle School and Stevenson Middle School as well as to the District Math Coaches.
